Pastor Julie Melberg SETTING THE CAPTIVES Julie Melberg is an ordained minister with International Ministerial Fellowship. She is pastor of Door of Hope Church, and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has trained with Wagner Institute and has completed training under Freedom In Christ Ministries with Neil T. Anderson. She has training in Theophostics Ministries with Ed Smith, she has also trained with Henry Wright’s foundation in Thomaston, Georgia, author of A More Excellent Way.

Julie has served in the prayer ministry/counseling ministry full time since 1999. Julie teaches at Love Lines Crisis Center and has taught at World Impact. She travels and does guest speaking on a number of subjects; domestic violence, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome, Freemasonry, and the Father’s Love, etc.
Julie knows first hand God’s healing touch in her own life, some of which include physical healings of Fibromyalgia, migraines, severe depression, arthritis, severe back pain, and an assortment of other problems. The Lord has mended her broken heart step by step and brought her into the fullness of living.

Therapy and behavior modification can only name the problem you experience; they cannot truly fix the problem because only Jesus heals. Only He knows how to bring us out of the mazes of life, and mend our brokenness. Through prayer Jesus Christ ministers gently, yet very powerfully, because nothing is too hard for Him (Jer. 32:17). It isn’t good enough that man tells you not to be afraid, that it is not your fault, etc. Your Lord must speak that into you. A revelation from God sets you free from the burdens and pains that trials bring. God speaks His voice into the situations of life to break the oppression that has for so long held us captive. Jesus died with the express purpose to set us free!
